NHL: Chicago 3, Detroit 2

CHICAGO, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist Sunday as the Chicago Blackhawks topped Detroit, 3-2.

Kane's seventh goal of the season -- on the power play at 15:09 of the first period -- gave Chicago a 2-0 lead. His assist came on Jonathan Toews' power play tally at 18:25 of the second, which put the Blackhawks up, 3-1.

Yanic Perreault scored the other Chicago goal, Robert Lang had two assists, and goalie Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 30-of-32 Detroit shots, as the Blackhawks won their third straight game and their fifth out of six.

Detroit got a goal and an assist from Jiri Hudler. Niklas Lidstrom (power play) scored the other goal, and goaltender Chris Osgood was beaten three times on 27 shots for the Red Wings, who had a franchise-equaling nine-game winning streak snapped.

On the power play, Chicago went 2-for-6, while Detroit was scoreless on its five chances.
