NHL: Tampa Bay 5, Washington 2

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Vaclav Prospal had a goal and two assists Saturday night to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning past the Washington Capitals, 5-2.

Prospal's 11th goal of the season snapped a 1-1 tie and started Tampa Bay's four-goal third period. Filip Kuba (power play), Ryan Craig (power play), Martin St. Louis and Paul Ranger (empty net) also scored for Tampa Bay.

Vincent Lecavalier added two assists, and goaltender Johan Holmqvist stopped 23-of-25 Washington shots for the Lightning, who won two in a row.

Washington's goals were scored by Alexander Ovechkin in the second period, and Tomas Fleischmann in the third.

Goaltender Olaf Kolzig was beaten four times on 33 shots for the Capitals, who sank to 2-12-1 in their last 15 games overall.

In man-advantage situations, Tampa Bay went 2-for-3, and Washington was 0-for-2.
