Dolphins' Zach Thomas out with migraines

DAVIE, Fla., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Miami Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas is out for Sunday's home game against Buffalo because of ongoing migraine headaches.

The problem started when Thomas suffered a concussion in an automobile accident Oct. 21 after the Dolphins played New England.

He subsequently missed the game in London Oct. 28 against the New York Giants, and has not been cleared to play by team doctors.

"It's kind of day-to-day and that's the way we approached it," Coach Cam Cameron told reporters after practice Friday. "He was positive (Thursday), came in (Friday) morning and things were not quite the same and again that's the recommendation of our medical staff."

In five games this season, the 34-year-old Thomas has 52 tackles (42 solo), one sack, and forced one fumble.

He also missed two games earlier this season with a concussion.

Against the Bills, he will be replaced at middle linebacker by Channing Crowder, while Derrick Pope moves into Crowder's outside linebacker spot.
