NHL: Minnesota 5, Edmonton 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Mark Parrish scored two goals Monday as the Minnesota Wild posted a 5-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Kurtis Foster each had a goal and an assist for Minnesota, which has won two straight following a five-game losing streak. Mikko Koivu added three assists and Petteri Nummelin two.

Niklas Backstrom had 22 saves for Minnesota.

Dustin Penner had a two-point game with a goal and an assist for the Oilers, who have lost 10 of 13 games.

Dwayne Roloson allowed three goals on eight shots before being relieved by Mathieu Garon, who finished the game with 16 saves.

Minnesota had three power-play goals in the first period.
