NBA: Milwaukee 78, Chicago 72

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Michael Redd scored a game-high 27 points Saturday night, as Milwaukee downed the Chicago Bulls, 78-72, in the Bucks' NBA home-opener.

Highly-touted rookie Yi Jianlian from China had 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots, while Charlie Bell had 11 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Bucks -- who won for the first time after two losses.

They have won their last five home openers.

Milwaukee trailed the low-scoring contest, 35-32, after scoring just 12 points in the second quarter.

Chicago got a team-high 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists from Ben Gordon.

Joe Smith had 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Andres Nocioni added 12 points and six rebounds for the Bulls, who have started the new season with three straight losses.
