LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Corey Maggette scored 27 points Sunday afternoon, as the Los Angeles Clippers beat winless Seattle, 115-101.
The contest was tied at 52 at the half, and the Clippers held a slim 78-76 lead entering the fourth when they out-scored Seattle, 37-25.
Tim Thomas had 20 points and five rebounds and Cuttino Mobley had 17 points and six rebounds, while Ruben Patterson added 13 points and six steals for the Clippers, who have started the new season 2-0.
Seattle was led by 6-foot-9 inch rookie Kevin Durant's 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists. He shot 10-for-19 from the field, and 3-for-6 on three-pointers.
