COL FB: Connecticut 38, Rutgers 19

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Tyler Lorenzen passed for two touchdowns and Donald Brown ran for 154 yards and one TD Saturday, as 20th-ranked Connecticut beat Rutgers, 38-19.

Lorenzen completed 10-of-21 passes for the Huskies (8-1, 4-0 Big East), who have won home games against Louisville, South Florida and Rutgers in three consecutive weeks after their lone loss of the season, Oct. 13 by a point at Virginia.

Tyvon Branch returned a kickoff 97 yards for a score in the win, as the Huskies moved to their best start through nine games in the program's 109-year history.

Mike Teel completed 32-of-52 passes for 343 yards for Rutgers (5-4, 1-3). Ray Rice ran for 116 yards and a touchdown, Tiquan Underwood caught 11 passes for 114 yards and Kenny Britt caught eight for 122 yards.
