NBA: Toronto 106, New Jersey 69

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Andrea Bargnani was one of six players in double figures with 21 points Friday as Toronto crushed New Jersey 106-69.

It was a rematch of a first-round playoff series from last season, one captured by the Nets.

Toronto won its second straight game to open the year with Chris Bosh adding 15 points and Juan Dixon 14. The 37-point victory margin was Toronto's largest ever on the road.

Richard Jefferson led New Jersey with 27 points.

New Jersey led by as many as seven in the first period, but the Raptors came back to tie it after one quarter and opened the second period with a 12-0 run.

Toronto built a 55-41 halftime lead, scoring the final nine points of the second quarter. The Nets missed 10 of their first 11 shots in the second half to seal their fate.

New Jersey's Vince Carter reached the 15,000-point mark in the first period, making him the third-fastest active player to do so.
