NHL: St. Louis 3, Minnesota 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Jay McKee scored the only goal of the third period Thursday, giving St. Louis its first win on Minnesota's home ice in five seasons, 3-2.

McKee had gone 33 games without a goal.

Keith Tkachuk and Martin Rucinsky also scored for the Blues. Manny Legace made 23 saves as St. Louis won for the third time in five outings.

Minnesota is winless in its last five (0-4-1).

Tkachuk and Rucinsky scored in a span of 3:57 of the second period to give the Blues a 2-1 lead. Pavol Demitra, having missed the four previous games with a strained shoulder, tied it late in the second.

McKee scored at 7:46 of the third on a slap shot that came on the power play. It was the 100th point of his career.
