DENVER, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- The Colorado Rockies, home team in the World Series for the first time, need a win in Game 3 to keep baseball's showcase event interesting.
The Boston Red Sox own a 2-0 lead, as the action moves to the mountains Saturday. The Red Sox have cooled off a Colorado club that had won 21 out of 22 games prior to the Series.
Daisuke Matsuzaka, the winning pitcher in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, will get the start for the Red Sox Saturday night. Matsuzaka gave up two runs in five innings against Cleveland in the deciding ALCS contest.
Boston's offense made it an easy victory as the Red Sox rolled to an 11-2 decision.
Matsuzaka lost the third game of that series.
Colorado will counter with Josh Fogg, who had a win in both the division and league championship series. The Rockies swept Philadelphia and Arizona to reach the World Series for the first time.
No precipitation is forecast for Denver Saturday night, but temperatures are expected to drop into the 40s by the time the first pitch is thrown.
