Port St. Lucie has co-leaders

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Bob Estes and Tommy Armour III share the lead at 9-under 64 after Thursday’s first round of the PGA’s Gin Sur de Mer Golf Tournament at Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The inaugural event, being played on the Tesoro course, was suspended by darkness with a handful of players still on the course.

Daniel Chopra and Craig Kanada tied for third at 6-under 67 and seven golfers share fifth at 5-under 68.

"The last five weeks I really haven't struck (the ball) all that badly, but nothing was going in and I was missing cuts by one and two shots," Kanada told The Palm Beach Post.

He needs a big week to finish in the top 125 and retain his PGA Tour card.

Bryce Molder shot 5-under through 15 holes and was the only player left on the course with a shot at equaling the leaders.

Will McKenzie withdrew after an opening 6-over 79.
