NHL: Columbus 7, Chicago 4

CHICAGO, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Rick Nash had two goals and an assist and Jiri Novotny two goals Tuesday as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 7-4.

Michael Peca had three assists and Dan Fritsche and Rostislav Klesla added two assists each for the Blue Jackets. Fredrik Norrena had 24 saves for Columbus.

Patrick Kane scored twice and added two assists for the Blackhawks, who had won two straight and four of five entering play. Tuomo Ruutu had three assists. Nikolai Khabibulin stopped only 19 of-25 shots.

The Blue Jackets jumped on top with two goals 23 seconds apart in the first period.
