ATLANTA, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Georgia Tech running back Tashard Choice, who left Saturday's game against Army with an injured right knee, is set to have surgery Tuesday.
Tech Coach Chan Gailey said the results of an MRI that Choice had earlier Monday dictated that he
will need the surgery. The results of Tuesday's surgery will determine the senior will be out.
Gailey said Choice will not play in the Yellow Jackets' next game, Nov. 1 against 9th-ranked Virginia Tech.
Choice, who leads the ACC in rushing (108.0 yards per game) for the second straight year, will miss a game for the first time in three years.
He has played most of this season with a tender hamstring but entered last Saturday's game
against Army with three consecutive games of 100 or more yards rushing. He injured the knee in the first quarter of the Army game.
