NHL: N.Y. Islanders 4, New Jersey 3 (OT)

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Bill Guerin scored a power-play goal in overtime Saturday night, as the New York Islanders beat New Jersey, 4-3.

Guerin's only goal in the contest -- his fourth of the new season -- broke a 3-3 tie and helped New York win its second straight game.

New York's Josef Vasicek, Miroslav Satan and Mike Comrie (power play) also scored once each.

Radek Martinek had two assists and goaltender Rick DiPietro made 25 saves on 28 shots for the Islanders, who have split their last four games.

New Jersey's Zach Parise, Jay Pandolfo and Brian Gionta all scored once.

Goalie Kevin Weekes made 32 saves on 36 shots for the Devils, who had won two in a row.

On the power play, the Islanders were 2-for-5, and the Devils went 0-for-4.
