NHL: Los Angeles 4, Vancouver 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Michael Cammalleri scored his league-leading eighth goal during a second-period outburst Friday night, as the Los Angeles Kings downed Vancouver, 4-2.

The Kings scored three times in a span of seven minutes of the second to overcome an early 1-0 deficit and break an eight-game road losing streak dating to last season.

Los Angeles had dropped its first three away from home this year, while Vancouver has only one victory in its own rink.

Jack Johnson lifted the Kings into a 1-1 tie at 3:04 of the second, and Cammalleri scored on the power play at 5:41. Alexander Frolov made it 3-1 at 9:57 with a slap shot that got past Roberto Luongo.

Mattias Ohlund cut the Canucks' deficit to one with 5:47 to play in the third, but Dustin Brown's empty netter with 10 seconds left clinched it. Jason LaBarbera made 23 saves for Los Angeles.

Vancouver had won its last three meetings with the Kings.
