COL FB: UCLA 30, California 21

PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Alterraun Verner's 76-yard interception return for a TD with under two minutes left was the clincher Saturday afternoon, as UCLA beat Mo. 9 California, 30-21.

Patrick Cowan completed 18-of-27 passes for 161 yards and one touchdown -- connecting with his brother Joe Cowan seven times for 39 yards, and Brandon Breazell four times for 68 yards. Breazell also threw a touchdown pass and rushed for 21 yards, as the Bruins (5-2, 4-0 Pac-10) came from behind three times to remain unbeaten in conference play.

Kahlil Bell rushed 22 times for 142 yards for UCLA, which forced four turnovers, including two interceptions by Verner.

Cal's Nate Longshore, playing with an ankle injury that sidelined him during a loss to Oregon State last Saturday, was 22-for-34 passing for 232 yards and three touchdowns, but was intercepted three times.

DeSean Jackson caught nine passes for 136 yards and two TDs and Justin Forsett rushed 25 times for 76 yards for California (5-2, 2-2).
