NHL: Anaheim 6, Detroit 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Six Ducks scored Monday but it was Samuel Pahlsson's shorthanded goal that proved the game-winner as Anaheim downed the Detroit Red Wings 6-3.

Pahlsson whistled a wrist shot over the glove of Detroit goalie Dominik Hasek at the 9:02 mark of the third period, putting the Ducks ahead for good 4-3.

Kent Huskins, Chris Kunitz, Andy McDonald, Corey Perry and Sean O'Donnell also scored for Anaheim. Ryan Getzlaf and Chris Pronger each had three assists for the Ducks, who had lost four of five coming into the game.

Ilja Bryzgalov made 32 saves in the win.

Brian Rafalski, Henrik Zetterberg and Kris Draper each scored a goal for the Red Wings, who have lost four of their last five games. Dominik Hasek made 23 saves in defeat.
