Skinner tied the game by hitting Adams with a 7-yard throw at the end of a 65-yard march, and he drove the Deacons 82 yards in the fourth period -- hitting Kenneth Moore with a 35-yard pass for the go-ahead score.
Sam Swank added a 48-yard field goal with 1:40 to play, giving Wake Forest a 10-point lead. Florida State scored with 17 seconds left on a 17-yard run by Xavier Lee, but the Seminoles could not recover the ensuing onside kick.
