FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga., Oct. 9 (UPI) -- The Atlanta Falcons put offensive lineman Wayne Gandy on injured reserve and signed offensive lineman Harvey Dahl off San Francisco's practice squad Monday.
The Falcons also waived 6-foot-7, 270-pound defensive end Kevin Huntley, who they had signed to their practice squad Sept. 12.
The 6-foot-5, 308-pound Gandy was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. The 14-year veteran had started in 94 consecutive games on the offensive line dating back to the 2001 season.
Dahl, 6-5, 313 pounds, joined the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2005 and was later signed by the 49ers after being waived by Dallas that same year. Dahl competed in four games last season for the 49ers and saw his first NFL action against the St. Louis Rams Sept.17, 2006.
