NFL: N.Y. Giants 35, N.Y. Jets 24

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Eli Manning threw two second-half touchdown passes Sunday as the New York Giants rallied to beat the New York Jets, 35-24.

The Giants were dominated in the first half, and faced a 17-7 halftime deficit, but scored 14 points in both the third and fourth quarters.

The Giants' Aaron Ross picked off Jets' quarterback Chad Pennington twice in the fourth quarter, setting up the go-ahead touchdown with the first one and returning the second for a touchdown, and Brandon Jacobs scored once on 20 attempts for 100 yards as the Giants beat their cross-town rivals for the fourth straight time.

Pennington was 21-for-36 for 229 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

Wide receiver Brad Smith scored once on three catches for 44 yards, and Thomas Jones was held to 36 yards on 13 carries for the Jets, who have lost four of their first games this season.
