Justin Upton added two hits and an RBI for Arizona, which is appearing in the postseason for the first time since being swept in the NLDS in 2002.

Jason Kendall drove in the lone run for Chicago, which has lost six straight playoff games dating back to the 2003 NLCS against the Marlins when the Cubs blew a 3-1 series lead.
