Stanford QB Ostrander has seizure

STANFORD, Calif., Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Stanford quarterback T.C. Ostrander suffered a seizure and will not play against second-ranked Southern California Saturday.

Ostrander suffered the seizure at a Palo Alto restaurant Sunday night while watching former teammate Trent Edwards play for the Buffalo Bills. The fifth-year senior was immediately taken to Stanford Hospital, where several tests came back normal.

Although he was released from the hospital later Sunday, Ostrander will be held out Saturday as a precautionary measure and be re-evaluated next Monday.

"We are obviously happy for T.C. that all the tests have come back normal," said Stanford Coach Jim Harbaugh.

Ostrander has completed 90 of 166 passes for 1,065 yards and six touchdowns this season for the Cardinals (1-3, 0-3 Pac-10).
