NFL: Cleveland 27, Baltimore 13

CLEVELAND, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Derek Anderson threw for two touchdowns Sunday while the Cleveland Browns defense shut down the Baltimore Ravens 27-13.

Anderson hit Joe Jurevicius for a 2-yard score and Braylon Edwards for a 78-yard touchdown that put Cleveland ahead, 14-0, after one quarter.

The Ravens score their only touchdown of the day when Steve McNair threw a 4-yard scoring pass to Quinn Sypniewski with 7:14 left in the game.

Former Raven Jamal Lewis added a 1-yard TD run for the Browns to make it 24-3 in the third quarter. Lewis finished the day with 64 yards rushing, while Baltimore’s Willis McGahee gained 104 yards on 14 carries.

Baltimore (2-2) mustered 418 yards of offense to the Browns’ (2-2) 303 and racked up nine more minutes of ball-possession times than Cleveland. The Ravens, however, twice had drives end on downs in the second half, while a third drive ended with a missed field goal by Matt Stover.

Stover, who missed two kicks in the game, booted field goals of 21 and 29 yards, while Cleveland’s Phil Dawson was 2-for-2, with field goals of 41 and 20 yards.
