MLS: Chicago 1, CD Chivas USA 1 (draw)

CARSON, Calif., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Claudio Suarez scored goals Saturday night, as the Chicago Fire and Chivas USA played to a 1-1 draw in Major League Soccer action.

Blanco opened the scoring, getting his fourth goal of the season in the 24th minute on a free kick. Suarez scored the equalizer on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute.

Chicago coach Juan Carlos Osorio was ejected late in the game, after Chivas USA defender Alex Zotinca took down Blanco in the box, and the Fire didn’t get a penalty call.
