LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki's two-run homer and Todd Helton's two RBI Tuesday catapulted Colorado to a 9-7 win over the LA Dodgers and a tie in the wild card playoff race.
It was Colorado's ninth win in a row, matching the franchise's longest win streak, set in 1997. The Rockies are now tied with Philadelphia in the wild card race. Both teams trail San Diego by one game after the Padres' 6-4 win over San Francisco.
James Loney hit a three-run homer for the Dodgers, who were eliminated from playoff contention. Chin-Lung Hu also homered in the losing effort.
