Mulder underwent left shoulder arthroscopic surgery that revealed complete healing of the previous labral repair and only partial healing of his previous rotator cuff repair.

The left-hander, who had arthroscopic surgery earlier in the season, underwent debridement of the unhealed portion of the rotator cuff and is expected to return in 2008.

Mulder was 0-3 with a 12.27 ERA in three September starts. Mulder also battled through shoulder problems in 2006, going 6-7 with a 7.14 ERA in 17 starts.
