MLB: LA Dodgers 7, Arizona 1

PHOENIX, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- James Loney had three hits, including a two-run homer, Sunday afternoon, as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Arizona, 7-1.

Juan Pierre had four hits and scored a run for the Dodgers, who snapped a seven-game losing streak.

Starter Chad Billingsley (12-5) went 5 2/3 innings, yielding just one run on five hits, with six strikeouts and four walks.

Mark Reynolds accounted for the Diamondbacks' only run with an RBI in the bottom of the first, after the Dodgers had jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Tony Abreu’s solo homer in the top of the first.

Edgar Gonzalez (8-3) started and went just 3 1/3 innings for the Diamondbacks, giving up three runs on eight hits.
