LONDON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Mark Foster made three birdies on the back nine Saturday to grab a two-shot lead after 54 holes of the British Masters at Wisham, England.
Foster, whose total through three rounds is 10-under-par 206, shot 3-under 69.
Only a double-bogey at the 18th kept him within shouting distance.
“The second shot (at 18) in was disappointing, and I take full responsibility,” said Foster, who was a co-leader after Friday’s second round. “It was a three iron shot and I decided to hit a little wood from a tight lie and found the water. With hindsight, i’d have gone with the three-iron, but there we go.”
Bourdy jumped from a share of 25th place Friday.
