ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Jarrod Washburn and Brandon Morrow combined on a five-hitter Friday night as the Seattle Mariners blanked the Los Angeles Angels, 6-0.
Seattle prevented, at least for one more day, the Angels from clinching a playoff berth. One win by the Angels or one loss by the Mariners will give Los Angeles the American League West title.
