Hamlin takes RoadLoans.com 200

DOVER, Del., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Denny Hamlin won the RoadLoans.com 200 Busch Series race at Dover (Del.) International Speedway Saturday, finishing 1.797 seconds ahead of Martin Truex Jr.

Hamlin, driving the No.20 Chevrolet, posted his third victory of the season, and the fifth of his Busch career -- and he did it despite being sick with the flu.

"The best medicine is a strong race car," said Hamlin after the race. "Once we got our car out front our car was just dynamite."

Greg Biffle started in the pole position but surrendered the lead to Hamlin after just four laps.

Hamlin built a two-second lead after 33 laps -- and led by as much as four second halfway through the 200-lap race on the “Monster Mile.”

Matt Kenseth, Mike Bliss and Reed Sorenson completed the top-five.
