Rams' Hill to miss 49ers game with injury

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- St. Louis cornerback Tye Hill will miss Sunday's game against San Francisco after hurting his lower back in practice Thursday, Rams Coach Scott Linehan said.

Hill, a starter, made eight tackles in the Rams' season-opening loss to Carolina.

Linehan said any decision about Hill returning will be made week-to-week, but, "Any reports about him being (out) 4-6 weeks are false."
