WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Zackary Bowman came up with a fourth-quarter interception of Brett Hodges Saturday as 17th-ranked Nebraska edged Wake Forest 20-17.

Hodges, filling in for injured starter Riley Skinner, completed just 12 of 24 passes for 140 yards for the Demon Deacons (0-2)..

Trailing by three with just over seven minutes left in the fourth quarter, Wake Forest had an opportunity to at least tie the game when the Demon Deacons got pressure on Keller and defensive tackle John Russell came up with the interception at the Nebraska 10-yard line.

But Hodges tried to throw into double coverage on 3rd-and-goal and Bowman made his interception.
