First-round leader and defending champion Bradley Dredge (66) is second at 10-under 132.

Wilson had six birdies and a bogey as he seeks his first title on the European Tour and possibly a spot on the European Ryder Cup team.

"The Ryder Cup's a long way away but I'd love to play,” the 26-year-old Wilson said, referring to the upcoming match between teams from Great Britain and Ireland and Continental Europe.

"I’ve not played a team event since I was an amateur and I feel if I make it then it will be a reward for my season and a next step up in my career."

Brett Rumford (66) is third at 8-under 134.
