MLB: Pittsburgh 11, St. Louis 0

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Jack Wilson had four hits, including a homer, and three RBI Monday while leading the Pittsburgh Pirates to an 11-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Ian Snell (9-11) pitched seven shutout innings to win for just the second time in his last 11 outings. He allowed five hits, walked five and struck out four.

Ronny Paulino and Freddy Sanchez each had three hits and two RBI and Jose Bautista also homered and had two RBI for the Pirates, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Kip Wells (6-16) was pounded for 10 hits and six runs over 3 1/3 innings as the Cardinals had a three-game winning streak halted. St. Louis fell 2 1/2 games behind division- leading Chicago in the NL Central.

David Eckstein had two of St. Louis' six hits.
