MILWAUKEE, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence tripled and scored the go-ahead run in the eighth monday as the Houston Astros rallied to beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-7.
Pence was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Astros. Brad Ausmus also had two RBI and Lance Berkman homered in the ninth.
Dave Borkowski (4-3) got the win by recording the final two outs in the seventh. Houston starter Roy Oswalt gave up five runs and 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Craig Counsell tripled and drove in three runs for Milwaukee, which had a three-game winning streak end. The Brewers entered the day 1 1/2 games behind the NL Central-leading Chicago Cubs.
Greg Aquino (0-1) suffered the loss. Milwaukee starter Ben Sheets allowed three runs and five hits, struck out five and walked six over six innings.
