MLB: Colorado 4, Arizona 3

PHOENIX, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Josh Fogg gave up two earned runs and seven hits in six innings Sunday afternoon, as the Colorado Rockies edged Arizona, 4-3.

Colorado's matt Holiday had an RBI single in the first and a solo home run in the third. Brad Hawpe and Ian Stewart had one RBI apiece.


Stewart and Holliday had two hits apiece for the Rockies, who have won six of 10.

Fogg (8-9) walked three batters and fanned six.

Matt Corpas earned his 12th save.

Three Arizona players had one RBI each. Four players had two hits each for the Diamondbacks, who trail Colorado by five games in the NL wild-card chase after two losses in the three-game series.

The losing pitcher was starter Brandon Webb (14-10).
