NFL: N.Y. Jets 13, Philadelphia 11

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo ran 11 yards for a fourth-quarter TD Thursday night as the New York Jets edged Philadelphia, 13-11, in preseason play.

New York’s only touchdown in the contest provided the winning margin, as the Jets built an insurmountable lead with 14:53 remaining.

Wide receiver Frisman Jackson had three receptions for 51 yards and running back Stacy Tutt gained 48 yards on 12 carries for the Jets.

Philadelphia rookie quarterback Kevin Kolb was 22-of-33 passing for one touchdown and 220 yards.

Tony Hunt rushed for 49 yards on 12 attempts and David Akers kicked two field goals, as the Eagles fell to 1-3 in the preseason.

The contest was tied, 3-3, after three quarters, but the Jets out-scored the Eagles, 10-8, in the fourth.
