MLB: Pittsburgh 11, Colorado 2

DENVER, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Freddy Sanchez collected four hits Wednesday, one of them a two-run homer, helping Pittsburgh run away from Colorado 11-2.

Nate McLouth had two solo homers and three runs scored, while Jack Wilson had a three-run blast in carrying the Pirates to their fourth win in five games.

Tom Gorzelanny (12-7) picked up the victory, allowing two runs on six hits in six innings. Pittsburgh roughed up Josh Fogg (7-9) for eight runs on 11 hits in three innings.

Jose Bautista and Sanchez both doubled home a run in the first and Wilson delivered his homer in the second. McLouth also hit one of his homers in that inning to give the Pirates a 6-0 advantage.

The homer by Sanchez came in the sixth to finish off the scoring.
