LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Ramon Martinez’s eighth-inning two-run single Sunday afternoon led the Los Angeles Dodgers to a come-from-behind, 4-3, victory over Colorado.
Martinez had two hits and three RBI on the day, and Andre Ethier drove in two runs and scored twice for the Dodgers, who have won four of their last six games.
Scott Proctor (4-5) blew a lead, giving up two runs, but earned the victory.
Dodgers’ starter Brad Penny held the Rockies to one run on two hits in five innings, with three strikeouts and five walks.
Takashi Saito got his 33rd save of the season.
Todd Helton went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a double and two runs scored for the Rockies, who have lost five of their last seven games.
Jorge Julio (0-4) took the loss, yielding two runs on one hit in one-third of an inning.
Colorado starter Jeff Francis went six innings, giving up two runs on six hits, with seven strikeouts and two walks.
