NFL: New Orleans 27, Cincinnati 19

CINCINNATI, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Antonio Pittman, Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush scored on short runs Saturday night as the New Orleans Saints beat Cincinnati, 27-19, in preseason play.

The Saints started quickly, as McAllister scored on a one-yard run and Olindo Mare booted a 23-yard field goal for a 10-3 lead. The Bengals out-scored the Saints, 9-7, in the second quarter, but New Orleans led, 17-12, at the half.

Pittman scored to start the final quarter as New Orleans built its lead to 24-12.

Reserve Saints' quarterback Jamie Martin was 14-for-19 for 139 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

Cincinnati's Doug Johnson was 14-for-23 for 99 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

The Bengals' Skyler Green caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Rowe in the fourth quarter, while the losers got four field goals from Shayne Graham.
