MLB: Arizona 12, Atlanta 6

ATLANTA, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Winning pitcher Micah Owings hit two homers and knocked in six runs Saturday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Atlanta, 12-6.

Owings went 4-for-5 and scored four times. On the mound, Owings (6-6) gave up three earned runs and three hits in seven innings, with no walks and seven strikeouts.

Arizona also got four hits and two RBI from Orlando Hudson. Four players had one RBI; Scott Salazar and Scott Drew -- who hit a solo homer -- had two hits each; while Salazar scored three runs for the Diamondbacks, who have won four in a row.

Atlanta got its runs on two homers by Jeff Francoeur for three RBI, solo shots by Chipper Jones and Andruw Jones, and Scott Thorman's one RBI.

The Braves scored three times in the ninth, but could not overcome a pair of four-run innings by the winners.

The losing pitcher was Buddy Carlyle (7-5).

Atlanta has lost three straight.
