PITTSBURGH, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell and Aaron Rowand had three RBI each Friday night as the Philadelphia Phillies beat Pittsburgh, 11-8.
Burrell hit an RBI double in the third and a two-run homer in the sixth, while Rowand belted a three-run homer in the fifth. Philadelphia's Tadahito Iguchi and Chris Coste drove in two runs each.
Jimmy Rollins had three runs, three hits and one RBI; Coste and Burrell both had three hits; while three players had two hits for the Phillies -- who have won four of their last five games.
The winner was J.D. Durbin (5-2).
Pittsburgh's Freddy Sanchez had a hit and three RBI.
Matt Kata, Ronny Paulino and Jose Bautista all hit solo homers; Nate McLouth had one RBI; and Cesar Izturis had two runs and two hits for the Pirates -- who have dropped four of five.
Losing pitcher Tom Gorzelanny (11-7) yielded five earned runs and nine hits in five innings.
