Reid, McNulty share lead on Champions Tour

SUNRIVER, Ore., Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Mike Reid and Mark McNulty put together rounds of 6-under 66 Thursday to share the lead after one round of the JELD-WEN Tradition at Sunriver, Ore.

Reid won twice on the regular PGA Tour and is seeking his second victory on the Champions Tour.

David Edwards was alone in third at 67 while Tom Watson, Bruce Summerhays and Ben Crenshaw were all at 68.

Reid, known on the regular circuit as one of the straightest drivers in the history of the sport, birdied three of the last four holes at the Crosswater Club course.

He won the 2005 Senior PGA Championship, a victory that came 17 years after his second and final win on the regular tour.

McNulty, with five Champions Tour wins to his credit, had nine birdies and three bogeys Thursday.
