MLB: Baltimore 6, N.Y. Yankees 3 (10 inn.)

NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Aubrey Huff hit a two-run homer in the top of the 10th inning Wednesday afternoon, as the Baltimore Orioles beat the New York Yankees, 6-3.

Huff's 10th homer of the season came off losing pitcher Mariano Rivera (3-4) and capped a three-run outburst following an RBI double by Miguel Tejada.

Baltimore led, 3-0, when Shelley Duncan hit a three-run homer in the top of the ninth, helping New York avoid a second straight shutout loss.

Three Baltimore players had one RBI, while a run scored on a fielding error by New York starter Phil Hughes in the fourth for the Orioles, who have won three of their last four games.

The winner was Chad Bradford (2-5).

Alex Rodriguez had a run and four hits and added a stolen base for the Yankees, who lost a chance to come within four games of Boston in the AL East.

The Red Sox lost to Tampa Bay, 6-5, Wednesday.
