MLB: Kansas City 6, Toronto 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Billy Butler and Ross Gload each drove in two runs Monday, propelling the Kansas City Royals to a 6-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Odalis Perez (7-11) was the winning pitcher, giving up two runs on eight hits over five innings. The Royals gave up only one hit over the closing four innings.

Mark Teahen homered and scored twice for the Royals.

Alex Rios and Curtis Thigpen each drove in a run for the Blue Jays.

Toronto starter Jesse Litsch (4-5) gave up five runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings.
