KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Alex Gordon was 3-for-3 with a two-run home run and a pair of runs scored Saturday as the Kansas City Royals posted a 4-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Leo Nunez (2-0) gave up one run and two hits with four strikeouts and three walks in six innings in his third major-league start.

Joey Gathright had two hits, drove in a run and scored once for the Royals, who have won three of their last five games.
Dustin McGowan (8-6) allowed four runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings.
Gregg Zaun homered for the Blue Jays.
