The winner was Matt Lindstrom (2-3). Kevin Gregg recorded his 25th save.

New York scored all its runs on a home run by Carlos Beltran in the bottom of the fifth -- his 20th homer this season.

Beltran was playing in his first game since July 25. He had been on the disabled list because of a strained left abdominal muscle.
