SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Barry Bonds hit his 756th career home run Tuesday night to move one ahead of Hank Aaron for the most in Major League Baseball history.
The San Francisco slugger drove a 3-2 pitch from Washington's Mike Bacsik over the wall in right-center field with one out in the fifth inning to give the Giants a 5-4 lead.

Bonds doubled to right-center field and scored in the second inning. He singled up the middle and scored on Bengie Molina's two-run homer in the third.
