The exhibition game marked the Steelers sideline debut for Coach Mike Tomlin, the former Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator who took over for Bill Cowher.

The Steelers come off an 8-8 season the year after the team's first Super Bowl title in 26 years.

New Orleans' first-team offense struggled, as Drew Brees completed just one of six pass attempts for six yards.
