Radwanska wins Nordic Light Open tennis

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland became the latest first-time WTA Tour singles winner Sunday, beating Russia's Vera Dushevina in the Nordic Light Open final.

The 18-year-old second seed cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory. It was her first career WTA singles final. She previously reached a semifinal at Luxembourg last year and two quarterfinals this year -- in Istanbul and Palermo.

Radwanska won a WTA doubles title earlier this year in Istanbul and became the first woman from Poland to win a singles title.

Dushevina, 20, also was trying for her first WTA singles title. She was appearing in her second career final, having previously lost in the 2005 title match at Eastbourne.
